St. George Single Malt Whiskey is an American original: distilled, aged, and blended out of love for what a handcrafted single malt can be.

Though the category of American single malt did not yet exist when Lance joined St. George Spirits in 1996, he came aboard with the express purpose of making single malt whiskey.
We laid down our first barrels in 1998, released Lot 1 in 2000, and have expanded our whiskey program ever since.
Lance’s brewing background strongly informed our whiskey’s mash bill—using various roast levels of two-row barley to elicit rich aromas of hazelnut and cocoa, and smoking a portion of unroasted barley over beech and alder wood to add base notes and additional complexity.
The resulting whiskey is expressive and inviting right off the still, but a variety of cooperage types contribute an even greater depth of flavor—creating a layered single malt with a signature all its own.
To create our newest release (Lot 24), we selected and blended 25 diverse casks from our whiskey library, including Kentucky and Tennessee bourbon barrels, apple brandy barrels, rum casks, and Torrontés, Tannat, Port, and California Sauternes-style wine casks.
The youngest barrel in Lot 24 was five and a half years old, while the oldest was eleven and a half years old. Lot 24 also includes blends with whiskies dating back 20 years.

The nose of Lot 24 opens with aromas of warm orange, gradually moving to pastry and cocoa powder, with hints of cola. On the palate: brown butter, spice cake, more cocoa, and toasted marshmallow take the lead, with bright smoke on the finish.
Sip neat to fully experience all the nuances and depth of flavor, or add nothing more than a single large ice cube. This is as good as whiskey gets.
